Flat-pack GRP enclosures are modular cabinets delivered in individual panels rather than as a single pre-assembled unit. They are the ideal solution for sites with restricted access, such as basements, rooftops, or remote areas, where a large fully assembled kiosk cannot be transported.
The panels are designed for straightforward on-site assembly. They typically feature pre-drilled internal flanges and are bolted together using stainless steel fixings. Most modular units can be assembled by two people using standard hand tools.
Yes. Once bolted together, the structural integrity of a modular enclosure is comparable to a factory-built unit. The interlocking panel design and high-quality internal flanging ensure a rigid and durable structure capable of housing heavy equipment.
Absolutely. The joints between the panels are sealed during assembly using high-grade weatherproof sealants or gaskets. This ensures the finished kiosk maintains its IP rating, protecting internal equipment from rain, snow, and dust.
Yes. Because the units are modular, we can provide various configurations including different door placements, ventilation louvres, and open-base designs for cable entry. Internal mounting backboards can also be fitted during the assembly process.
They are widely used for housing water pumps, electrical switchgear, telecommunications hubs, and gas equipment in locations where vehicle access is limited or the installation must take place behind existing structures.
Like all large GRP kiosks, flat-pack units should be assembled on a level, reinforced concrete plinth. This ensures the panels align correctly during bolting and provides a stable base for the finished structure.
